Thomastik Infeld is one of the major string manufacturers worldwide.

A staff of 160 employees has been developing and producing 2500 different types of strings for bowed and plucked instruments (violin, viola, cello, doublebass, acoustic & electric guitar, mandolin,… ) for over 75 years.

Handmade products and highly sophisticated quality control have given Thomastik Infeld a leading role in the market.

95 percent of the production output is being shipped into more than 90 countries and distributed via local importers.

Besides the standard product range the company is specialized in developing custom order strings for even exotic instruments.

Infeld superalloy(tm) guitar strings

INFELD guitar strings with superalloy(tm)wrap wire deliver bright, cutting tone – and they measurably produce more power than other strings. And higher gain means a better signal-to-noise ratio. INFELD guitar strings are perfect for heavy effects user, or for long signal paths where dropoff could be a problem.

INFELD Bass guitar strings

INFELD bass strings deliver modern tone, with balanced spread acrossthe frequency spectrum. They communicate in a full, wellrounded bass, throaty mids and solid treble without brittleness. Since the outer layer of windings in supperalloy(tm), the warm tone is retained. Plus, they are easier on your fretwork than stainless or all steel strings.

Classic

CLASSIC N Series
Clear, warm sounding, heavy duty construction: Classic N Series are heavy duty nylon strings. The basses E, A are silverplated copper round wound on chrome steelflat wound. The treble strings are made of selected nylon. Classic N Series are easy to play and give the player a budget series on hight quality classical guitar strings.

CLASSIC S Series
smooth, brilliant, extra long sustain: Classic S Series PRECISION are soft steel strings with polished winding specially designed for Folk- and Concert Guitar. Strings E, A, d, g, b are chrome steel flat wound on a highly flexible steel core, e is made of plain steel. Classic S Series ROPE CORE are soft steel strings with extra long sustain. A unique design employing a highly flexible steel rope core brings a high playing comfort. E, A, d are silverplated copper flat wound, g, b, e are Nylon tape wound.

Spectrum

Plectrum

Soft sounding, low tension
Plectrum Acoustic Series are soft sounding strings for acoustic guitar with low tension on the bottom end. The plain strings are made of brass coated steel, the wound strings have a silk inlay in combination with a highly flexible steel core. A, D, G strings are polished bronze flatwound, Bass-E is polished bronze roundwound. PLECTRUM are available for 6- and 12-string instruments.

John Pearse
